Meet the Astun team at the GeoPlace conference

Moira Livesey, Andrew Smart and Toby Jarvis will be manning our stand. We also hope that our MD, Mike Saunt, will be able to attend.

Moira worked in Local Government for 37 years before joining us as our Local Government Ambassador. You can find out more about Moira here

Since joining Astun in 2023, Andrew has become a familiar face thanks to Zoom and real-life events such as FOSS4G:UK, the PSGA tour and the Astun User Group. You can find out more about Andrew’s role in driving customer satisfaction and engagement here

Toby started his GIS career at Derby City Council in the GIS team immediately after university. Before joining us, he spent a couple of years at BMW before moving back to GIS to work for a geo-demographics and GIS consultancy.

What can we expect on the Astun stand?

We’ll be keen to help existing iShare users understand how to pull the latest National Street Gazetteer data (NSG) directly from GeoPlace’s DataVia into iShare. This was one of the hot topics at our User Group.

We’ll also take the opportunity to talk to clients about changes to Astun Data Services (ADS). ADS delivers pre-styled Ordnance Survey data, including OS MasterMap, via OGC Web Services or as a vector download. ADS also provides pre-styled syndicated data, such as NHS and Edubase data.

You can also talk to us about iShare Insights with Power BI. This enables non-GIS users to create custom visualisations which support decision-making. We’ll also be able to provide you with information about our two-part Support Coverage package. This provides Priority Support for critical incidents and Call-off Support for non-emergencies.
