How it works: from office to field and back

Creating your
project

GIS Administrators use data directly from the SDW to build a tailored project in QGIS, setting up the exact forms and layers needed for the task.

Deploying to
the cloud

The project is uploaded to our secure, hosted QFieldCloud server. From here, admins can manage permissions and grant access to specific users.

Downloading
your project

Field workers download the project including OS base maps to their devices. Offline base maps enable them to work with high-quality mapping in areas with little or no internet connection.

Capturing
your data

Using the intuitive QField App (Android or iOS), the team collects survey data on-site. They can capture points, lines, and polygons, fill out smart forms, and attach photos.

Synchronising
seamlessly

Once a connection is available, data is synchronised with QFieldCloud. All changes and attachments are automatically transferred back to the SDW.
