There are 4 steps to perform geocoding. Clicking each bar below will take you to the next step
Step 1. Read these instructions!
Step 2. Copy your locations (from the System Clipboard) into the text box supplied panel and let the software start searching!
Step 3. Use the interactive map (courtesy of Microsoft Virtual Earth) and look for the icons of matches. Clicking on one will show you the address.
Step 4. Copy the results with co-ordinates either in a comma delimited style or in Google Earth format.
Do you have many more places to search for? Search iShareMaps On Demand has a Desktop version which can search for approximately 75 records PER SECOND!
The desktop search version is part of our paid 'On Demand' mapping services. You don't need to worry about keeping large databases up tto date - with an internet connection you can simply access ours

Copy up to UK Postcodes or World Places into the text box (comma separated)

Due to internet browser security restrictions you must copy the results manually.
To use the geocoded results in an application select the relevant records from the text box below. If you wish to view the results in Google Earth then save the contents to a file (via Notepad or similar) and then save the file with the extension .KML
Use the menu Edit -> Copy or Ctrl+C
